WILSON APPOINTS ROBERT A. WOLF TO
THE CALIFORNIA TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION

SACRAMENTO -- Governor Pete Wilson today announced the appointment of  Robert A. Wolf to the California Transportation Commission.

Previously, Wolf served as chairman of the California Transportation Commission from 1993 until March of 1996 when he was appointed undersecretary of the Business. Transportation and Housing Agency. He has resigned as undersecretary effective December 31, 1996.

Wolf, 48, of Moreno Valley, has also been the president and chairman of the Germania Construction Corporation, a commercial construction and real estate development firm established in 1971. 

He is a member of the Vocational Education Committee of the Moreno Valley Unified School District and is a member and past vice chairman of the Moreno Valley Chamber of Commerce.

Wolf. a Republican. also served as chairman of the Riverside County Planning Commission, the County of Riverside Flood Control Commission for Zone Four, the Moreno Valley Planning Commission and the Riverside County Leadership Council.

He is the author of How to Become a Developer, a step-by-step guide to becoming involved in the development profession.

Wolf earned a bachelor's degree in real estate finance from Golden State University, Los Angeles in 1982.


Members do not receive a salary. This appointment is subject to Senate confirmation.
